Ignorant Americans…

Some of you might not belive this but I assure you that it is 100% true. It happened to me and my friend here a couple of weeks ago and I still ask her if it really happened and she still says yes…so…
We went down to Venice beach a sunday, hungover like never EVER before. Sat down at a restaurant next to the beach walk and ordered burritos and pizza or something else greasy.
As always when me and Josie are hungover, we giggled until we cried. Mostly we laughed at our (actually MY) behavior the night before and she kept reminding me about things that I had no clue happened.

All of a sudden a guy next to us and his wife stands up, the man walks up to us and leans over the table looking crazy mad and says ” Excuse me girls but you’re in AMERICA now and in this country we speak ENGLISH so I just wanted to inform you that it’s not appropriate of you to sit here at a restaurant speaking some  other fucking language”

No I am serious, not kidding.

First, me and Josie looked at eachother and him, just waiting for him to start laughing and for this to be a big joke but after a few seconds and him ramling on about how RUDE we were sitting here at a restaurant speaking swedish I flipped. Fucking flipped.
“Excuse YOU but maybe it would be a good idea if you STUPID Americans started learning a second language then because last time I checked, there was a world outside the U.S!”
Now this stupid man continued by saying “Well my wife here is a Mexican” Ohohoh, so do you let HER speak her language perhaps? Ohohoh BY THE WAY, I know a word in english, wait wait it’s on the tip of my tounge…hold on….. IGNORANCE THAT’s the word I was looking for” By this time the guy had walked away, he continued talking to himself being smoking mad but he refused to stay and confront me.

IDIOT.
That was like the typical profile of how people outside the U.S THINK Americans are like…
